Loftness Specialized Equipment is saddened to share that its Southeast Territory Manager, Eddie Morton, has passed away at age 66. Eddie was an incredibly effective sales representative and top performer for the company. He will be greatly missed, as he possessed a deep passion for the durability of Loftness equipment and gained a strong level of trust with customers, dealers and employees.
A highly valued member of the Loftness team for five years, Eddie joined the company in 2020. Previously, he owned a fiber optic cable installation business and later worked for First Choice Farm and Lawn, a Kubota dealership in Savannah, Tennessee. Through these experiences, he gained a wealth of equipment knowledge, particularly with skid steers and excavators, which he used to help represent Loftness’ line of vegetation management equipment.
Often praised for his loyalty to Loftness and its dealers, Eddie excelled at one-on-one interactions. He could often be found at trade shows like the Sunbelt Ag Expo, CONEXPO, TCIA, NC Farm Show and the Paul Bunyan Show, where he naturally engaged with customers, even outside of his territory, representing Loftness in all capacities from sales to parts and service.
Eddie stood out for his work ethic, product knowledge and dedication. He was known for always answering his phone when it rang, making him a reliable and trusted contact for the sales team and dealers. He was also an incredible resource during employee onboarding, as he generously shared his extensive industry and product knowledge.
“Eddie’s legacy at Loftness is one of passion, dedication and an unwavering commitment to both the product and the people he served,” said Josh South, Loftness CEO. “His ability to connect with customers by simply telling them the truth, rather than relying on superficial tactics, was a hallmark of his approach, and is one that will be deeply missed by the sales team and dealers.”
