The Carbide Cutter G4 is available with the following three tooth options.
Designed to withstand the gamut of operating conditions, from ground contact to treetops. It offers a blend of aggressive cutting actions and rugged construction, while remaining low cost. This is the definition of a heavy-duty tooth.
Reversible with ultra-sharp, heat-treated steel knife edges, the Quadco effortlessly slices through trees and vegetation, as opposed to shredding and tearing. It can be rotated on site for a fresh cutting edge, or sharpened to extend the blade life.
A hardened surface on the outside of these Quadco blades wears at a slower pace than the inside, creating a self-sharpening effect for long-lasting performance. These cutting teeth are more ideal for use in loam or sandy soil, and are not recommended for rocky conditions.
The Carbide Cutter G4 is available with two hydraulic motor options to accommodate a wide range of customer needs and budgets. Choose between a reliable high-pressure, fixed-displacement gear motor, or upgrade to our advanced V-Drive variable-displacement piston motor.
The V-Drive uses a variable-displacement piston motor, which automatically shifts the rotor RPM from the highest speed to a lower range for increased torque, as needed. The result is less stalling and a shorter recovery time, helping operators to concentrate on the job instead of power settings and continuous head repositioning. This motor provides a more effective use of power as the head RPM increases under lighter loads, allowing operators to quickly slice through smaller or more flexible growth, as well as when back-dragging material on the ground. As larger trees, trunks and stumps are engaged, the motor increases the drive displacement to increase torque. It is designed for skid steers delivering 32-45 GPM at up to 6,000 PSI. (Rated up to 120 hydraulic horsepower.)
The high-pressure gear motor is a reliable, cost-effective workhorse. It operates at a constant RPM that provides an optimal balance between speed and torque. This system was designed for skid steers delivering 29-40 GPM at up to 4,300 PSI. (Rated up to 85 hydraulic horsepower.)
