Vegetation Management | Loftness Adds New Vegetation Management Representatives

HECTOR, Minn. — Loftness has added two new U.S. sales representatives for its VM Logix line of vegetation management equipment. The new reps offer dedicated support and regional expertise to help better serve Loftness customers as the company expands its product line.

Based in Warrensburg, Missouri, Michael Havas is the new representative for the states of Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming. He originally grew up on a family farm in middle Tennessee and then spent a long career in the military. He now operates a cattle farm in Warrensburg, Missouri, where he experiences first-hand the challenge of managing overgrown vegetation in his territory. Havas still takes pleasure in cutting wood to heat his home, and in his spare time he enjoys living the country lifestyle, including making property improvements, working in the woods, and producing lumber on his band mill. Matt Martin is the new western states territory manager for Loftness, covering Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. He has spent his entire life in the Pacific Northwest working in the agricultural and timber industries, and is now excited to use his experience to help other dedicated people working in the same industries to raise their families in the western U.S. In his spare time, Martin enjoys coaching youth football and watching his four children play sports. Havas and Martin join existing VM Logix representatives Blake Eavenson and Bill Schafer. Eavenson is a representative for the eastern U.S. and has extensive experience within the industry, including customer relations, territory management and business development with vegetation management equipment and construction equipment. Eavenson has a sales and business marketing degree with a minor in general business from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He brings an excellent hands-on working knowledge of the types of products Loftness offers. He also has great contacts within the industry and brings a strong work ethic to the position. Schafer began his career operating a family farm in Minnesota, supplemented by a business doing excavating, construction site prep and farm drainage. He has since spent 27 years working at Loftness with the majority of that time focused on the company’s vegetation management business. Schafer now concentrates on new product development while recently assuming the additional responsibilities of supporting the other territory managers and also representing the north central territory of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin himself. He has been married for 45 years to his wife Becky, and his favorite pastimes include working on old cars and motorcycles, drag racing, and spending time with grandchildren.
